This month, Costessey Primary School’s Year 5 students participated in the exciting "Play for Good" event, a creative and impactful Design and Technology project in collaboration with Antidote Gamers and Street Child charities.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness for Street Child’s global efforts in supporting education for children in need, while encouraging students to raise funds for the cause. Students worked in teams to design and build a school in Nigeria using Minecraft, gaining insights into architecture, community resilience, and real-world challenges.

With the support of volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including teachers, parents, and industry professionals, the event fostered collaboration and teamwork. By simulating a natural disaster, students were challenged to think critically about design, communication, and community values.

The "Play for Good" event not only sparked creativity but also deepened students’ empathy and sense of global responsibility. It was a memorable success that highlighted the power of education, technology, and charity in creating lasting impact.
